masquerade masks

Making and painting masquerade masks with my two daughters, Elya and Andrea, is definitely one of my delights.

This video shows how one of the masks we made evolved into several different creative projects from sculpting, decorating, and photographing, to a poem, painting, and into Somerset Studio magazine:

    • Hi Jan,

I made some of them from clay, some from plaster cloth, and some I decorated already-made masks. My former website had lessons on how to do this that I plan to repost soon. I will email you when the post is live so you can see the process. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving the complement!
