The hopeful is an acrylic painting that honors those living with uncertainty. I hope she is a worthy tribute to these hearty souls that gaze into the future in search of a brighter tomorrow.
The hopeful wears pearls of overcoming, formed in the crucible of suffering.
Even when the bleakest seasons descend, her life blossom with hopefulness and perseverance. She spreads the Rose of Sharon’s fragrance wherever she goes.
There is something quite majestic about the hopeful, like the purple hat that sits stately upon her head.
When today swims in sorrow, she dries her tears with the promise of Revelations 21:5, “Behold I make all things new!”
It’s amazing how my own uncertainties in life traveled down my arm and out through a paint brush when I created the hopeful.
The longer I walk with the Lord, the more convinced I am that He leads me into uncertainty. I want assurances, the safe and sure direction, but He takes me down uncertain paths, so He is my only certainty.
*I want to thank all of my dear friends on Facebook whose encouragement and ideas helped me to fashion this painting. I have greatly benefited from your insights and suggestions. Kari, Sherri, and Camille, the pearl earrings added the finishing touch! Thank you for suggesting earrings!

JoDee, she is beautiful. My favorite so far. I told Gary this morning “Hasn’t she become just an amazing artist”? Wow JoD…..SO GOOD! I love her!!!
Ahhhh, thank you so much bff. It means a lot to know you feel that way about my art. She is definitely my favorite so far as well. I had so much fun seeing her transform into someone I never intended her to be when I started her.
