A Central Coast Excursion Inspires a New Mixed Media Portrait

My husband and I celebrated a belated Valentine’s date with an excursion to the Central Coast of California.

Just hubby and I and our two cameras, careening around corners to capture creativity.

And we weren’t disappointed one bit! This much-needed getaway provided amply eye candy for our photography and painting passions.

In fact, the meandering sailboats and sunlit piers inspired a new mixed media painting.

I’m calling her Bon Voyage because she calls me to leave safe harbors and sail towards my passion to publish more books.

It’s been a few years since I published Refrain from the Identical: Insights and Inspiration for Creative EclecticsSince that time, new manuscripts bulge with inspirational pieces. Yet now I know how much work self-publishing is, so I need some courage to continue to pursue my publishing dreams.

So Bon Voyage is in process. Far from finished, yet inspiring me to push-off from the pier and sail into uncharted waters once again.
